J. Todd Tracy is the founding member of The Tracy Law Group.
His practice concentrates on representing individual and business debtors, creditors (both secured and unsecured), and trustees in cases filed under all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code and in the Washington Courts using the state receivership process.
Mr. Tracy has twenty six years of significant bankruptcy experience. Before founding his own firm, he was Of Counsel and President of Crocker Law Group PLLC. Prior to that, he was a partner at Ogden Murphy Wallace PLLC, Early in his career, he was associated with Shulkin Hutton Inc., PS, Foster Pepper & Shefelman and Hatch & Leslie. Mr. Tracy was a law clerk to the Honorable Samuel J. Steiner, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington, from 1987 to 1989.
He has served at the President of the Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Washington and as a Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference. He served as a member of the Local Rules Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for six years.
He is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs. He has spoken at the Northwest Bankruptcy Institute in 2009, 2011 and 2013 on the subject of individual Chapter 11 cases. In 2007, he presented at the Conference of Chief Bankruptcy Judges for the Ninth Circuit and at the 2008 Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference in Sun Valley Idaho on consumer bankruptcy issues.
Mr. Tracy has been named a Washington Super Lawyer by Washington Law and Politics magazine. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubble and received a 10/10 (“Superb”) rating by Avvo.com.
He enjoys mowing his lawn (really he does) and puttering in his garden. He loves his Washington Huskies, the Seattle Seahawks and the Seattle Mariners
